Increasing Student Awareness of Success Resources

S3  |  E6  | Kendall Coffman, Senior Academic Advisor at The Ohio State University

More than ever, colleges and universities are attempting to support student success through campus support resources. These resources have gained greater importance as students and families question the return on investment for a college degree and additional accountability metrics seek to hold institutions accountable for the success of their graduates. As these support resources expand, it is imperative for universities and their staff to proactively share information about these resources to students, ensuring their accessibility. This empowers students with the knowledge of the resources available to them and equips them with the skills to utilize these tools when they are most needed.

Check out our conversation with Kendall Coffman, Senior Academic Advisor at The Ohio State University. In this conversation, we discuss:

  • The importance of student support resources and making sure they are accessible to students, and students are aware of these resources.
  • Intentionally and purposefully sharing resources with students.
  • The importance of advisors stepping into a role of being a resource to students.
  • Other tips and tricks to supporting students and helping them be successful at your University.
