Exploring the Graduate Outcomes of UIDP Member Institutions

Throughout the history of Higher Education, efforts have been made to increase collaboration and strengthen relationships between institutions and the communities they serve. At times (and in certain contexts) these relationships have been continuous, but diligent efforts by campuses and industry leaders are helping to generate progress.

Organizations like UIDP are focused on expanding collaborations between University and Industry. They “support mutually beneficial university-industry collaborations by developing and disseminating strategies for addressing common issues between the two sectors.” For more information, click here.

To help contextualize the work of UIDP, Steppingblocks explored outcomes of the graduates from UIDP member institutions in the United States, including the average salary, top industries, top current employers, and top majors.

How did we generate this data?

To understand how we generated this report, you first have to understand our data. To obtain a comprehensive picture of education and workforce outcomes, we collect, organize, classify and analyze demographic, education and employment data from hundreds of sources. Our data then undergoes a rigorous process of validation for quality and veracity to ensure reliable, high-quality information on over 130 million people, over 25 million companies and over 1 billion data points.

For this analysis, we explored the post-graduation outcomes of the institutional members of UIDP in the United States. This allows us to generate the provided datapoints and understand the impact of these colleges and universities. We asked the following questions:
